Terms of Service
Last updated: July 15, 2026 · Current version · Version 2026-07-15
These terms cover HypnotistShow.com, ComedySpeaker.com , BookingEventEntertainment.com & EventMatchmaker.com — and any site we add to the network later.
1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and the operator of the Network ("we," "us," or "our"). They apply to every website we operate as part of our network (together, "the Network," and each one a "Site"), and to every visitor, registered user, event planner, performer, agency, bureau and administrator who uses any of them.
By accessing or using any Site in the Network — or by creating an account, listing a profile, posting an event, or making or accepting a booking — you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Sites.
You only need to agree once. Because a single account works across the whole Network, accepting these Terms on any one Site means you have accepted them for all of them.
2. The Network — Which Sites These Terms Cover
We run several sites that share one account system, one database and one payment layer. Each has its own audience and its own front door, but behind them it is one platform, run by one team, under this one agreement.
| Site | What it is |
|---|---|
| HypnotistShow.com | A marketplace for booking comedy hypnotists, stage hypnosis shows and psychic / mentalist entertainers. |
| ComedySpeaker.com | A marketplace for booking comedy and motivational speakers. |
| BookingEventEntertainment.com | A marketplace for booking entertainment of every kind — comedians, bands, magicians, DJs, dancers, speakers and variety acts. |
| EventMatchmaker.com | A public directory of entertainment agencies, speaker bureaus and event, wedding and meeting planners. Listings show contact details only; performer rosters are never published. |
Links open in a new tab. The current list of Sites is always the one shown on this page and in the footer of every Site.
3. Future Sites and Changes to the Network
We expect the Network to grow. We may launch, acquire, rename, merge, re-brand, split or retire Sites at any time — for example, a site dedicated to a single kind of performer, or to a particular region or audience.
These Terms automatically extend to every Site we add to the Network, from the moment it launches, without any further action by you and without a new agreement. Your existing account, your acceptance of these Terms, and our Privacy Policy apply to each new Site on the same basis as the Sites listed above. Where a new Site needs materially different rules, we will publish those rules on that Site and tell you about them under section 4.
Retiring or re-branding a Site does not end this agreement, and does not affect obligations either of us already owes — an unpaid commission, a payout owed to you, or a booking you have agreed to perform.
4. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the platform develops. Every version carries a Last updated date and a version identifier, both shown at the top of this page, so you can always see which version is current.
- For material changes — anything that meaningfully affects your rights, your money or your obligations — we will notify registered users by email and/or ask you to accept the new version when you next sign in.
- We record which version of these Terms your account has accepted, and when.
- Minor changes (clarifications, corrections, formatting) may be made without individual notice; the Last updated date always changes.
- Continuing to use any Site after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms. If you don't accept them, please stop using the Network — you may close your account under section 17.
5. One Account Across the Network
Your email address and password work on every Site in the Network. Signing in on one Site may sign you in on another, and moving between Sites may carry your session with you. There is no separate registration, and no extra charge, for the other Sites.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential, and for everything that happens under your account on any Site.
- Tell us immediately if you think someone else has used your account.
- Don't create accounts to impersonate anyone, or for any fraudulent purpose.
- A suspension or termination applies to your account, and therefore across the entire Network — not only to the Site where the issue arose.
- You must be at least 18 to create an account or use any paid feature, and everything you tell us must be accurate.
6. Your Profile May Appear on More Than One Site
This is the part most worth reading, so here it is plainly: if you list a performer profile with us, that profile may be shown on more than one Site in the Network. Where it appears depends on the kind of act you are. A comedy or motivational speaker, for instance, is relevant both to our comedy audience and to our general entertainment audience, so the profile appears on both.
We do this because it works in your favour: one profile, one login, one subscription, in front of more of the people who book. It costs nothing extra and there's nothing extra to do.
- Where your profile appears is decided by the performer types on it, and by rules we set for each Site. Changing your types can change where you appear.
- Profiles carry a small badge showing which Sites they're listed on, so you and everyone else can see exactly where you are.
- Each Site describes you in its own words — the same profile may be framed as a "comedy speaker" on one Site and an "entertainer" on another. Your own words, photos and videos are not rewritten.
- By listing with us, you agree to your profile being shown on any Site in the Network it qualifies for, including Sites added in future.
- If you'd rather appear on fewer Sites, contact us and we'll arrange it. It will mean fewer planners see you.
The same goes for events: an event posted on one Site may be shown to relevant performers across the Network, so you hear from more of the right people.
By submitting content — profile text, photos, videos, testimonials, event details — you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and distribute it across the Network and in marketing for any Site in it. You keep ownership of your content.
7. Performer Profiles and Listings
Performers are responsible for making sure everything on their profile is accurate, current, and doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.
- Profile photos must be real photos of you.
- Video reels must feature your own performances.
- Testimonials must be genuine and accurately attributed.
- Fee ranges must reflect your actual rates.
All new performer profiles are reviewed by our team before going live.
8. Directory Listings (Agencies, Bureaus and Planners)
One Site in our Network is a public directory rather than a marketplace. Listings there work differently:
- A listing shows your business name, what you do, and how to contact you. We don't publish your roster — who you represent stays your business.
- Listings are reviewed before going live, and we may decline or remove any listing at our discretion.
- We're a directory: we don't vet, endorse, guarantee or supervise the businesses listed. Do your own due diligence and agree terms directly with anyone you hire.
- Basic listings are free. Paid tiers offer featured placement and greater prominence; they buy visibility only, never a guaranteed outcome.
- Contacting a business through the directory is free, and we take no commission on whatever you arrange with them.
- Agencies, bureaus and planners with a listing keep full rights to hold an account and post events on our marketplace Sites.
9. Membership Plans and Payments
Performer memberships come at Free, Basic, Pro and Elite tiers, billed monthly or annually. Your plan applies across the whole Network — one subscription, every Site your profile qualifies for.
- Free Plan: No charge. Core profile features.
- Paid Plans: Billed monthly or annually; annual plans are discounted. See the Pricing page for current rates.
- Cancellations: Cancel any time. Access continues to the end of the billing period. No partial refunds.
- Refunds: We don't issue refunds except where required by law.
- Price Changes: We may change pricing with 30 days' advance notice.
Payment providers
Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. We currently support PayPal, and may enable additional providers — such as Stripe — across the Network. Where more than one is available you may be able to choose; where only one is enabled, that one applies.
Whichever provider handles a payment, it's subject to that provider's own terms and privacy policy as well as these Terms. We never see or store your full card details. Adding, changing or removing a payment provider doesn't alter your subscription price or your rights under these Terms.
10. Bookings and Transactions
We facilitate introductions between performers and planners. We are not a party to any booking, performance agreement or contract between users. The terms of a performance — dates, fees, cancellation, deposits, technical requirements — are agreed between the planner and the performer directly, and we're not liable for disputes arising from those agreements.
That holds wherever in the Network the introduction happened. An event posted on one Site and answered by a performer listed on another is still an agreement between those two people.
When a performer submits an external lead and a booking follows through the platform, a commission split applies as configured by the performer (between 10% and 90% to the performer, the remainder to the platform). The exact split is shown on the booking detail.
11. Performer Payouts & Payment Account Requirements
A connected payment account is required
Performers must connect a valid, active payment account (currently PayPal) in their profile settings to receive booking payouts. No money is disbursed until a valid payment account is confirmed. This applies to every payment provider we support now or in future, and across every Site in the Network.
Payout accrual — internal balance
If a booking payment arrives and you haven't connected a valid payment account, your net payout (after platform commission) is held in an internal accrued balance on your behalf. That balance:
- Accrues indefinitely and does not expire.
- Is visible to you in your dashboard, and to our admin team.
- Is released automatically once a valid payment account is connected and confirmed.
- Is not subject to interest, fees or penalties while held.
- Remains your property and will be paid out when you connect a valid account.
Payment account validation
When you enter a PayPal email address we run an initial domain-level check (an MX record lookup) to confirm the domain accepts mail. Full account ownership is confirmed on the first successful payout. If a payout comes back undeliverable — for example, the address isn't registered with PayPal — we flag it invalid and payouts revert to accrual until you provide a working address.
Payout processing timeline
- Payouts are queued after event completion, subject to a hold period (default: 1 day after payment received).
- Payouts are sent to the payout address registered in your profile settings.
- You may use a payout email that differs from your login email.
- We're not liable for delays or failures caused by a payment provider.
- If your payment account is closed, frozen or otherwise unavailable, payouts accrue internally until you provide a replacement.
Referral commission payouts
When you post a referral lead that converts to a booking, you receive a share of the platform commission as configured in your account (typically 50% of our commission). Referral payouts are subject to the same payment account requirements and will accrue if no valid account is connected.
12. Platform Commission, Compliance & Account Restriction
Commission obligation
When we facilitate a booking — through a direct request, the lead marketplace, or any other platform-assisted introduction on any Site in the Network — the performer agrees to pay the applicable platform commission on completion of the engagement. Rates are shown at the time of booking and depend on the performer's subscription tier. Non-payment of a commission is a material breach of these Terms.
Invoice and payment timeline
- Commission invoices are issued automatically after event completion and payout processing.
- Payment is due within the period stated on the invoice (typically 7–14 days).
- Reminders are sent at 7, 14 and 30 days past due.
- You're responsible for watching your registered email address for commission notices. Those emails come from the Site your account belongs to.
Account restriction for non-payment
If a commission invoice stays unpaid beyond the allowable period, we may restrict your account. Because one account spans the Network, a restriction applies on every Site. It takes one of two forms, at our discretion:
- Restricted Access: You can log in but are confined to a page showing the outstanding balance, how to pay, and how to reach us. Your public profile is hidden, new bookings are paused, and profile editing (including via assistant links) is disabled until the balance is settled.
- Full Suspension: Login is blocked entirely. You must contact support to resolve matters before regaining access.
Restoring full access
To restore access after a commission-related restriction:
- Pay the outstanding balance in full, using the payment link on the restriction page or by contacting support.
- Let us know, using the message form on the restriction page or by emailing [email protected].
Restoration is processed within 1 business day of confirmed payment. We're not liable for losses, missed bookings or reputational impact during a period of restriction for unpaid commissions.
Disputes
If you believe a commission invoice is wrong, raise it within 7 days of the invoice date by contacting [email protected] with supporting documentation. We review disputes in good faith. Accounts aren't suspended while a dispute raised in good faith and within that window is under review.
13. Prohibited Conduct
On any Site in the Network, you agree NOT to:
- Post false, misleading or deceptive content
- Solicit or accept payment outside the platform to circumvent our fees
- Harass, threaten or abuse other users
- Scrape, crawl or extract data from any Site
- Upload malware, spam or unauthorised advertising
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of any Site
- Create fake reviews or testimonials
- Use any Site for any illegal purpose
14. Reviews and Ratings
Reviews may only be submitted by event planners after a booking completed on the platform, and must be honest and based on your own experience. Reviews travel with the profile they're about, so a review left on one Site is visible wherever that profile appears in the Network. We may remove reviews that break these rules, contain offensive language, or appear fraudulent.
15. Intellectual Property
Everything on our Sites that isn't user-submitted — design, logos, code, copy, compilations, and the names and branding of each Site in the Network — is owned by or licensed to us and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works without written permission.
16. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
THE SITES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ANY SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR FREE OF VIRUSES. WE MAKE NO WARRANTY REGARDING THE QUALITY, ACCURACY OR SUITABILITY OF ANY PERFORMER, AGENCY OR PLANNER FOR YOUR EVENT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF ANY SITE IN THE NETWORK OR ANY BOOKING MADE THROUGH IT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY, ACROSS ALL SITES COMBINED, SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator of the Network, its officers, directors, employees and agents from any claims, damages or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of any Site, your content, or your breach of these Terms.
17. Account Cancellation & Termination
Termination by us
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for breaching these Terms, for non-payment of commissions, or for any other reason, with or without notice. Termination doesn't relieve you of obligations already incurred.
Cancellation by you — the request process
You may request cancellation at any time. Cancellations are processed manually by our team — you can't close your own account directly. And because one account covers the Network, closing it closes your access to every Site, not just the one you asked from.
- Log in and go to Close Account in your dashboard navigation.
- Submit your request with a reason. This messages our team — your account is not closed immediately.
- We review the request, confirm any outstanding obligations, and process it. You get a confirmation email when it's done.
We aim to process requests within 3–5 business days. Active bookings, pending payments or outstanding commission balances have to be resolved first.
Soft delete & data retention
If you've interacted with the platform — bookings, payments, booking requests, reviews — your account is soft-deleted rather than erased:
- Your login and public profile are deactivated: you can no longer sign in, and your profile leaves public search results on every Site.
- Your email address is anonymised. We keep a record of the original for legal and dispute-resolution purposes only.
- Bookings, booking requests, payment transactions and commission history are retained indefinitely for accounting, legal compliance and platform integrity.
- Reviews you wrote or received remain, attributed to an anonymised account.
Accounts with no recorded interactions may be permanently deleted at our discretion on request.
Outstanding obligations at cancellation
- Unpaid platform commissions remain due and collectible after cancellation.
- Accrued payout balances owed to you are held and released once you provide a valid payment account, even after deactivation.
- Cancellation doesn't void performance agreements, booking contracts or payment obligations between performers and planners.
Irreversibility
Cancellation is permanent and irreversible across the Network. Once processed the account can't be restored; you'd need to create a new one.
18. Accounts Brought Over From Another Site of Ours
Some accounts in the Network were created by importing an existing profile from a site we already ran, so that long-standing members keep their profile, their history and their sign-in details instead of starting over.
- If your account was imported, your existing password still works. Where we couldn't carry it across safely, you'll be asked to set a new one on first sign-in.
- Imported profiles keep their original wording. We repair character-encoding damage, but we don't rewrite what you wrote.
- Imported accounts are covered by these Terms and our Privacy Policy exactly as accounts created here are, and you may be asked to accept them when you first sign in.
- Your profile may be shown on more than one Site under section 6, and you can ask us to narrow that at any time.
19. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles, and apply to every Site in the Network regardless of which one you used. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Florida.
20. Affiliate Disclosure
We participate in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising programme that lets sites earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases made through links on our Sites. That includes book links on performer profiles. Affiliate links never affect the price you pay.
21. General
- Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
- No waiver: If we don't enforce a right straight away, we haven't given it up.
- Assignment: You may not transfer your account or your rights under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms to an affiliate or successor — for example, on a merger, acquisition or reorganisation of the Network.
- Entire agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the Network, and replace any earlier terms you accepted on any individual Site.
